Descrição detalhada : Salicylic acid (SA) is a phenolic compound commonly found in plants where it plays a role of plant growth regulator and also as a signal molecule mediating in plant defense against pathogens. In food industry, it is used as a preservative and also as a component of food-grade resins, polymers, and adhesives. SA is also used as a peeling agent in chemical peeling of skin.
