Download your certificate at: http://www.sigma-aldrich.com Tricyclazole is a systemic triazolobenzothiazole fungicide used mainly for the control of Pyricularia oryzae on rice. It prevents the fungus from penetrating the epidermis, thereby protecting the plants/and thus, protecting the plants. The compound acts by inhibiting melanization within the appressorium, causing a lack of rigidity in the appressorial wall. As per Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009, repealing the directive 91/414/EEC, tricyclazole is not approved for use in the European Union. A maximum residue limit (MRL) of 0.01 mg/kg is applicable for the presence of tricyclazole in fresh/frozen fruits, and tree nuts, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/983.
