It is secreted from nonciliated cells in the epithelial lining of bronchioles, also referred as Clara cells. Uteroglobin is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 11q12.2 - 13.1. Recombinant Human Uteroglobin is an 8.0kDa homodimeric protein consisting of 142 amino acid residues.
