Download your certificate at: http://www.sigma-aldrich.com Fenobucarb is a carbamate insecticide that is used to control a range of biting and sucking insects in rice and other crops. It is widely applied on farmlands to improve crop yield and preserve agricultural products. Fenobucarb effectively controls leaf hoppers, leaf rollers, thrips, and stem borers in paddy fields through inhibiting activity of acetylcholine esterase (AChE) enzyme, causing muscle spasm and paralysis of insects. The Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) of fenobucarb recommended by the Global Agriculture Information Network is 0.005?mg/kg of body weight. Fenobucarb is not approved for use in European Union (EU) as per Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009. A default MRL of 0.01 mg/kg has been set according to Art 18(1)(b) Reg 396/2005.
