Descrição detalhada : C-X-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CXCR5; Burkitt lymphoma receptor 1; Monocyte-derived receptor 15) is a G-protein coupled cytokine receptor that binds selectively to the CXCL13 (B lymphocyte chemoattractant) ligand, and mediates the development and function of the immune system. It is expressed in mature B cells, and facilitates the migration of B cells into follicles of the splenic white pulp, and enables deposition of antigen on follicular dendritic cells. It is also involved in the development of lymph nodes and Peyer's patches. Previous studies have reported that the expression of CXCR5 increases in rheumatoid arthritis.
