Descrição detalhada : The family of Heterochromatin Proteins ("Chromobox Homolog", CBX) are highly conserved adapter molecules, which have important functions in the cell nucleus. These functions include gene repression by heterochromatin formation, transcriptional activation, regulation of binding of cohesion complexes to centromere, sequesteration of genes to nuclear periphery, transcriptional arrest, maintenance of heterochromatin integrity, gene repression at single nucleosome level and gene repression by heterochromatization of euchromatin., All ChIPAb+ antibodies are individually validated for chromatin precipitation, every lot, every time. Each ChIPAb+ antibody set includes control primers (tested every lot by qPCR) to biologically validate your IP results in a locus-specific context. The qPCR protocol and primer sequences are provided, allowing researchers to validate ChIP protocols when using our antibody in their chromatin context. Each set also includes a negative control antibody to ensure specificity of the ChIP reaction. The ChIPAb+ CBX8 set includes a CBX8 antibody, a Normal Rabbit IgG, and positive control primers which amplify 138 bp of the human HOXA2 promoter region. The CBX8 antibody and negative control IgG are supplied in a scalable "per ChIP" reaction size and can be used to functionally validate the precipitation of CBX8 associated chromatin.
