It functions as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor and acts by contact and stomach poisoning. Isoprocarb is not approved for use in European Union (EU) according to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 (repealing Directive 91/414/EEC). However, a default MRL of 0.01 mg/kg is set according to Art 18(1)(b) Reg 396 / 2005.
