Abamectin is a mixture two homologues containing >80% avermectin B1a and <20% avermectin B1b. It is used for the protection of ornamentals, cotton, citrus, pome fruit, nuts, vegetables, potatoes, and other crops against mites, leaf miners, suckers, colorado beetles, etc. It is commonly found in veterinary drugs due to its broad spectrum anti-parasitic activity.
