Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections. Anti-Human IgG (?-chain specific), F(ab?)2 fragment antibody is specific for human IgG subclasses. The F(ab?)2 fragment of the antibody is obtained from pepsin-digested antiserum by immunospecific methods of purification.
