It is an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor and gets activated by both contact and ingestion, absorbed by leaves and roots.As per the commission regulation no 1107/2009, regarding the use of plant protection products and repealing the council directive 91/414/EEC, ethiofencarb is not allowed for use in the European Union. The default maximum residue limit (MRL) for ethiofencarb is 0.01 mg/kg according to the Article 18(b) Reg 396/2005.
